Virginie Viard joined the French fashion house in 1987. Four years after Karl Lagerfeld was appointed Creative Director. Before making a permanent dedication to Chanel, Virginie Viard moved to Chloé when Karl Lagerfeld took over as creative director at the fashion house in 1992.
